ERBC LOGO  Elizabeth River Baptist Church Welcomes You

The Corona Virus Pandemic has really changed our way of life in just a few weeks! We have been experiencing how it is not to be able to worship together. The Federal/State Governments as of March 30th have mandated that groups of ten or more not meet together until June 10th. This mandate is an effort to stop the spread of this dangerous virus.

Due to this mandate all of our church's services and activities are cancelled until June 10th. This action is taken for your protection as well as the protection of others.

During this time, I have been posting a daily video devotion on the ELIZABETH RIVER BAPTIST CHURCH Facebook page. I will continue with the devotions. The next several Sundays I will be posting an Easter Sermon Series ("The Path to the Resurrection") on Facebook as well. (To access our Facebook page, go to Facebook in your internet browser, then search for "ELIZABETH RIVER BAPTIST CHURCH.") (click on link)

Annalisa is broadcasting an interactive Sunday school Lesson each Sunday at 10am through the ZOOM app. These have been great! It is wonderful to connect with everyone and have our regular Explore the Bible Sunday school Lesson. Don't miss out, contact Annalisa for details on how to join this online group.

On these Sundays that we cannot worshiping together, I would suggest a family worship time. This link will give you some assistance on how to hold a family worship time in your home:  (click on link ) There are also some excellent broadcasted worship services on TV If you would like to view ERBC's past worship services you may go on YouTube under our channel: "Elizabeth River Baptist Church." (click on link)

I have missed seeing all of you the last two Sundays. I am praying that we will be able to resume services in June. Please be in prayer that this virus will be eradicated quickly, and pray for the victims of this virus.

Even though our services are canceled, unfortunately our Church's financial responsibilities do not stop. We are asking you as faithful members of ERBC to continue to give your tithes and offerings during this time.

May God Richly Bless You

I was saved and baptized June 5, 1977 at the age of 23. In February of 1981, I was called of God to ministry. I enrolled at Arlington Baptist College, Arlington, Texas and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Theology and Business Administration.

My first pastorate was at Brookshire Avenue Baptist Church in Azle, Texas, where I was licensed and ordained (1983).   I was called next to First Baptist Church of Lakeside, Lakeside, Texas (1985), as Children's Minister.   In 1987, I was called to Midway Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas as Minister of Education and later as their Interim Pastor.

While pursuing my Master of Divinity degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, I felt a call into military chaplaincy. After the completion of my Masters Degree, I was selected for an appointment in Chaplaincy by both the North American Missions Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and the U.S. Navy.

I have served in a variety of commands while in the Navy Chaplain Corps. I served as Command Chaplain aboard three ships, a Naval Special Warfare Command, a Marine Corps Air Group, Naval Support Command in Crete, Greece, and Norfolk's Submarine Support Command. I retired in 2005 after serving twenty years in the Navy. Before retiring the Lord called me to serve as pastor at Salem Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, Virginia (2005-2009).

I have served as Pastor at Elizabeth River Baptist Church since 2010.

My wife, Deborah, and I have two adult daughters.
